Australia doesn’t traditionally celebrate Halloween but over the past few years it has spread throughout the country with costume and decorations being sold regularly in stores now and Halloween parties on the rise, although we have yet to see a trick ‘r treater in all those years.
Ev’s daycare took advantage of the day to allow the children to dress-up, and my office will use any excuse for a costume and food so Friday saw both of us in costume for the day.
Saturday followed with a Halloween party and I finished it off by going to see Rocky Horror at a local movie theatre with one of my friends. It was the first time seeing the movie for her and my first time in a theatre. They did a great job with a table full of supplies for people as you entered the theatre, we didn’t know when you were supposed to do what so we just left it and instead enjoyed getting riced and rained on us and toast in our laps. It was such a fun experience and I wouldn’t mind doing the full midnight showing one year with a big group to get really in to it.
After a few days of running around, and Andrew being sick most of last week, you’d think that we’d take Sunday off to do nothing but that’s just not our style so we spent the day running errands to work on various projects, taking the dogs around and doing general chores.
It was yet another exhausting weekend and we’ve sworn we won’t plan anything for this next weekend but that’s probably a lie.
