As December crept up on us we have continued our busy weekend streak by cramming in as much as possible this past weekend.
Saturday morning I got to go to my first school fete, it’s a small carnival held at a school to raise money for the school through raffles, a garage sale, market stalls and food.
We met up with Will, Isla and Stephen there and everyone had a blast.
We had to wake Ev up from her nap that afternoon to go over to the local pool where they recently opened an outdoor water play ground. It was Levi’s 2nd birthday and Levi, Rueben and Ev had so much fun playing in the water, chasing bubbles and swimming in the pool.
Ev didn’t want to leave the pool and when we finally got all the kids changed into their normal clothes they quickly ran straight back in to the play ground and soaked themselves again.
We finally stopped changing Ev after the second wet diaper and just took her home in a dry diaper and towel, she was one happy and tired kid.
Sunday was much more relaxing for us although we had a small mishap when I dropped Andrew and Ev off at the pool. I ran home to grab a regular diaper for Ev to wear after swimming and it wasn’t until I turned the car off and looked for the keys that I realized that my keys were in the bag I left with Andrew at the pool.
After breaking in to the house I realized that Andrew’s keys were also at the pool so I had to walk the pram down to the pool so we could all walk home together. That in itself made for an exhausting day and tiring end to the weekend.
