Boxing Day our many in Australia is the day to hit the sales, for us it’s the day to drive down to Jindabyne for some time at the lake. We joined Paul and Judy as we usually do with Kate and Chris also there with Macy. It was a bit crowded in the townhouse but we all managed to fit in without stepping on too many toes.
Luckily we were blessed with great in-car entertainment for Christmas for Ev.
Ev loved getting to spend time with Nana and Pop, especially when she got to have a Wiggles dance party on the deck.
She couldn’t get enough of her cousin Macy either and always wanted to help out.
The Stand-Up Paddle Board had to be tested out but if you notice Chris is the only one who gets wet.
When we got back to Canberra Andrew organised a picnic at one of the parks so we could meet his best friend Simon’s missus and their seven week old baby girl Madison. That afternoon Ev and I went to visit some friends and test out their new slip n’ slide, Ev wasn’t that interested in the slip n’ slide but she enjoyed the ice cream and trampoline while I enjoyed sitting on the deck under the mister.
While we were at Jindabyne Andrew decided we should spend a day at the beach while on holiday so New Years Eve saw us driving down to spend some time in Tomakin, one of our favourite beaches down at the coast.
Ev claimed the rest of the chips after a lunch of fish and chips next to the beach.
Ev enjoyed building sandcastles, but not as much as she enjoyed destroying our sandcastles.
That night we headed over to Will and Pip’s to see if we could stay awake to ring in the New Year.
With the end of 2015 we can now looks towards 2016 and all the excitement it will bring. Happy 2016 everyone!
