In honour of Mother’s Day yesterday I’ll finish off my mom’s trip down under. We mainly spent her final few days hanging out as a family with a few last minute meals and play dates thrown in.
Ev had her first gymnastics class Saturday morning and she loved it. We’ll see how she goes with the next few before deciding if we’ll keep it up.
Kate and Chris came to town so that we could get the cousins together for a few minutes while Mom was around. We had a lovely breakfast with them Sunday morning before taking Ev to swimming lessons.
Us ladies went out Sunday afternoon for high tea at the Burbury Hotel, it was fancy and delicious, just what you want from a high tea.
Tuesday I took Ev out to Science Time, classes for 3-5 year olds, at Questacon. Last weeks lesson was on the human body. It’s great how many free activities there are around Canberra for young kids.
We took Ev and Izzy out for one last playground visit with Mom this trip. As an added bonus we ran in to some friends there and the kids spent ages racing each other down the slides before Ev took Mom over to show her the really big slide.
Mom left early Thursday morning on a bus for Sydney and Ev and I heard from her Friday morning when she got back home to Dad. Wishing you a happy Mother’s Day from afar Mom, it was a great trip!
