We love our house, when we first saw it, well, it was am the most interesting open house I’ve been to. The house is a battle axe property meaning that we have a long driveway that goes past the neighbours houses and then ours is situated behind their back fence.
To get to the open house we walked down the long driveway towards a metal structure strung with clothes line with towels and sheets hanging down. The structure turned out to be two carport frames tied together.
We entered through a massive metal gate and were immediately greeted by a double garage, open with more towels and sheets hanging down. Inside the gloomy garage we could see a single recliner, occupied, a small dog next to the chair and a TV on the wall on.
The inside of the house was bare but nice, it was outside that was the killer. Almost the entire yard was shade din some way from sail clothes to deck umbrellas, a combination of both, and even a rain umbrella. The garden was completely overgrown and we heard enough from others at the open house to realise we might be in with a chance.
One of the first thing we did upon moving in was remove all the shade clothes, etc. it did wonders to open the house up and we didn’t stop there.
We even discovered this path when we cleaned up the yard.
Within the past 6 months we’ve under gone a few bigger renovations including the kitchen
We still need to get the shower done and then we’ve already set our eyes on improving our outdoor space to be easier to use and more inviting year round.
