The activity has continued over the past few days and shows no signs of slowing with boat rides, swimming and meals at The Resort (aka Orchard House, the place my aunt and uncle bought 1/2 mile away) it’s been a lot of fun.
Ev has been getting ridiculously confident with the water thanks to these special floats we got her. She’s turned into a little fish and it’s very difficult to get her out of the water.
Wednesday night we left Ev and Ethan with Mom so we could have a fabulous dinner at my cousin Karin’s house cooked by her husband Jonathan. It was a really nice evening sitting on their screened in porch and it went so well for Mom we decided to ditch all the kids the next night.
Jess booked us in to dinner at The Inn at Pleasant Lake. An amazing meal, this one beginning with drinks on the patio and ending with a table side chat with the chef to get some tips about adding champagne to lemon curd, oh yea, that’s happening.
The inn itself reminded me of The Public House where we had our wedding reception. I would definitely return for another meal, especially as the menu changes weekly I believe.
Friday we left Mom with babysitting duties one final time while we headed to Boston with Dad for a Red Sox game. Izzy enjoyed what she saw when she was awake and I found great fun listening to Andrew try and figure out what Harpoons seasonal ale is called, my favourites were ‘I want a bagel’ and ‘two potatoes’.
The Soxs won making it even better. More adventures to follow but I’m finally close to catching up to where we’re actually at in our trip.
